A DREAM COME TRUE

Yesterday, on July 22nd at 6:40 AM, my dream of summiting K2, “The Holy Grail of Mountaineering”, became a reality. It was a surreal moment filled with emotion and even after 40 hours and 12,000+ ft of descent, it has yet to truly sink in.

I’m sure that many of you are looking forward to a detailed account of our summit and I promise you that I will get that to you as soon as possible. Until then, thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your messages and for joining me on this journey!

MY MISSION

99.9% of us aren’t professionals. We will never solo the South Face of Annapurna in 24 hours like Ueli Steck. We will never free solo El Capitan like Alex Honnold. No, most of us have jobs that don’t revolve around extreme outdoor adventures, but that doesn’t meant that we should use that as an excuse to let our dreams fall by the wayside.

The human body is an incredible creation and one that we often apply our own perceived limits to. It took me 23 years to test my perceived limits and I have not looked back since.

It is my hope that you will join me on my adventures, sharing in the ups and many downs, to find the inspiration that pushes you towards your own aspirations. It doesn’t have to be 8,000 meter peaks or ice climbing, just whatever it may be that you have longed to experience. You won’t know your own limits until you try and you might just be surprised…
